  3. Stephen F. Austin • When Stephen F. Austin was 11 years old, he went school in Connecticut. • He graduated from Transylvania University in Kentucky.

  6. Stephen F. Austin • By the age of 27, Stephen F. Austin decided to help his father by moving three-hundred families to settle in Texas. • These first settlers of Texas were given the name of the,"Old Three Hundred". OLD 300

  7. Stephen F. Austin • In addition to bringing new families to Texas (which was then known as Tejas), Stephen F. Austin helped the new colonists and the people of the Mexican Government talk to each other.
