  3. Accessing Incidents No longer… SIS>>Student>>Discipline • Incidents will be entered in Student Information via StudentInformation>> • SIS>>Discipline>>Discipline Incidents • This is also known as your work queue

  7. Adding an Incident • On school property is new option • The options available were pre-loaded. You will have the option to add to the list or delete from the list. • After an incident is added, add policies if they are used, infractions, actions, etc. as in the past. • Look is a little different.

  8. Adding an Incident • Alt Education Assigned & Modified Expulsion are same as in the past. • These are for use of Weapons & Bombs • Demerits – same as before • Parent Involvement • Other • Law Enforcement – New • Weapon Involvement – will be added for everyone. Will have the option to add to the list or delete from the list.

  10. Discipline Incidents • A lot of new fields added for Civil Rights Reporting • Received Services • Bullying • Religious Intolerance • Sexual Orientation

  11. Mulitple Students • If more than one student is involved in an incident, have the ability to enter multiple students.

Discipline Codes • Discipline Administration has changed • Discipline Code Types lists all codes • Codes are loaded at the district level • Any codes previously added will not change • Can add to any of these codes • Infractions & Actions that were at the building level previously will not change

  13. Documentation • Documents are in the process of being updated. • Please be patient as State Support has the task of updating a lot of documents with all the changes being made.

  14. Deletions • Prior to 14.5, any discipline incident that was deleted was hard deleted. • After 14.5 Release, Incidents will show as inactive • Will still show on Queue • Will not be Report to EMIS • Will not show on Reports

  15. Discipline Incidents • Are school year specific • No check box to view prior years • To view incidents in prior years, will need to go back to prior year to view.

  17. Search Incidents • Ability to search incidents by name • Ability to create filters & save for search • Ability to sort by columns • Can display 10/page, 25/ page, or 50/page

Working Queue • When open incidents are complete, click on complete & it will be removed from the Queue • Past Incidents – I want to…… • New option in Student Profile dropdown • Can edit incident from this option • Known issue – cannot view from district level Software Answers is aware of issue

  19. Teacher Menu • Two ways teacher can enter an incident. 1. Teacher Menu in SI 2. Gradebook In order to have access in Gradebook, teachers must have a Student Information User Account Setting in GB - Ability must be turned on

  20. Teacher Access Gradebook • When a teacher makes a referral in GB, the incident will show as NEW status in the Work Queue

  21. Teacher Access - SI • Teacher can enter an incident using Teacher Menu if they have access. • StudentInformation>>Teacher Menu>>Discipline Referral

  23. Teacher Menu - SI • Teacher can start a referral for any student in Student Information • Teachers will only see referrals they have made • When teacher starts referral, the work queue will have referral staff of the teacher who made the referral.

  35. Discipline Letters • Discipline letters will be available with the release of 14.5----more training will be available for this functionality at a later date. • Not dependent on the Needs Letter in Discipline • No way to track if a letter has been sent
