  5. 2007 EMS • Medic 8am to 8pm • EMT 8am to 8pm • BLS non-transport from 8pm to 8am

  6. 2007 FIRE • 3 Firefighters from 8am to 8pm • 2 Firefighter/EMT’s from 8pm to 8am

  7. DAYTIME STAFFING • Ambulance 71 • Medic • Firefighter/EMT • Engine 71 • Firefighter/EMT • Firefighter • Firefighter/EMT

  8. NIGHT STAFFING • Engine 71 • Firefighter/EMT • Firefighter/EMT • Engine 71 will run with Boone County EMS on all EMS runs in our area

  9. How will we do this? • We have joined a partnership with • Witham Health Services • Boone County EMS

  10. WITHAM HOSPITAL • Witham will supply medical direction • Witham will supply a medic to A-71 • Witham will supply all fuel for A-71 • Witham will supply all EMS supplies and training to Boone County Fire • In return, Witham will do all billing

  11. How does this help? • Medic $132,000 • EMS supplies $16,000 • Fuel for ambulance estimate $3500 • This will allow $151,500 to go toward firefighters

  12. ENGINE 71 • ENGINE CREWS • Inspection • Public education • Pre-plans • Engine crew out the door in minutes

  13. Volunteers • Will still be needed • Second engine • Tanker • Manpower • Mutual aid

  14. Our goal • To have 4 personnel with the required equipment that can start initial attack within 2 minutes, 90% of the time. • Most of our runs are from 8am to 8pm
