  4. New Zealand - Differences • E-LSA will be considered amateur-built • Retractable landing gear OK • Variable pitch props OK • No cruise speed restriction • Day VFR only • Manufacturing certificate is required

  5. Work To Be Done • Final rule to be signed Part 1, 21, 47 & 91 • ACU responsible for manufacturing

  6. Industry Reaction – So Far • At least two intending NZ manufacturers (Kahu & Omega) • A number of Aero Clubs in serious negotiations and others requesting demonstration flights • Four aircraft of one model alone awaiting introduction of the rule prior to registration application
