College Promise Scholarships • The Baltimore County College Promise programs and Maryland Community College Promise are "last dollar in" scholarships which will cover tuition and mandatory fees for eligible students after applying all financial awards — such as Federal Pell Grants, Maryland state aid, institutional funds, CCBC Foundation scholarships, external scholarships and tuition waivers; Federal loans are excluded. • Students will need to cover other costs such as books, transportation, supplies and materials.

  3. Who is eligible for Baltimore County College Promise? To qualify, the student must: • Be a Baltimore County resident. Be a 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 or 2020 graduate of a public, parochial or private high school, home instruction program with a final, cumulative high school GPA of 2.3 or higher, be a GED recipient or a high school diploma recipient from an external diploma program.Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). CCBC School Code 002063 • The FAFSA is based off of prior-prior year, the adjusted gross income being used to review student eligibility is 2018 information. Have a household adjusted gross income of $150,000 or less. If dependent this includes parent(s) and student. If student is independent this includes the student (and spouse if married). • Enroll full-time in 12 or more credits/hours or the Continuing Education equivalent. • Does not have to graduate or complete in Baltimore County or Maryland. Student can graduate from any county or state.

  4. Baltimore County College Promise - Enrollment Credit certificate and degree students • Must enroll full-time in 12 or more credits/hours each semester Career/Workforce Training Certificate • Must be continuously enrolled in one of the approved Career/Workforce Training Certificate programs

How do students apply for Baltimore County College Promise? • Apply for admission if student is new to CCBC. https://www.ccbcmd.edu/get-started • Complete the FAFSA www.fafsa.gov • Submit the final, official high school/GED transcript to the Registrar’s Office • Complete the General Application in AcademicWorkshttps://ccbcmd.academicworks.com/ • Submit any requested documents to the Financial Aid Office (i.e. verification, selective service, etc.) • Register for 12 or more credits/hours

Md Community College Promise Scholarship- • To be considered for the 2020-2021 Academic year: • Submit a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa, by March 1, 2020 or • submit the Maryland State Financial Aid Application (MSFAA) online through MDCAPS for any applicant who is ineligible to receive federal aid but is eligible for in-state tuition by March 1, 2020 • Enrolls at a community college in Maryland within two (2)  years after graduating from a high school or successfully completing a GED in the state: • in a sequence of credit or non-credit courses that leads to licensure or certification; or • is participating in a registered apprenticeship program; • Has earned an overall high school cumulative grade point average of at least 2.3 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent at the end of the first semester of the senior year in high school; • Has an annual adjusted gross income of not more than: • $100,000 if the applicant is single or resides in a single–parent household; or • $150,000 if the applicant is married or resides in a two–parent 20 household; • Has not earned a bachelor’s or associate degree; and • Has not been awarded another educational grant or scholarship that covers the applicant’s full cost of attendance at the community college.

MdCommunity College Promise Scholarship – Continuing Education Eligibility Requirements • Must be enrolled in a sequence of non-credit courses that leads to licensure or certification. • Students must attend the community college in their county of residence unless they are pursuing a workforce shortage program. Dependent students must attend the community college in their parents county of residence. • Recipients of the Maryland Community College Promise Scholarship Program must sign an agreement to work full-time (currently defined as 35 hours per week) in the State within one year after earning the credit-bearing vocational certificate, credit-bearing certificate, or associate degree. If the student fails to fulfill the service obligation and secure employment within the State, the award will convert into a loan payable to the State. • Maryland Community College Promise awardees may apply the scholarship towards their firstnon-credit Work Force Training program sought at CCBC.
