  4. Who the Dawn Busters Are The Dawn Busters Kiwanis Club is the best Kiwanis Club in the world. Formally called the Metairie Kiwanis Dawn Busters, we were chartered in 1973 as the first club to meet over breakfast. We have over 80 members who volunteer regularly.   5. Service Projects Wheelchair Ramp Boo at the Zoo The Dawn Busters do various service projects in the community. We strive to do hands-on service to help children, elderly, and the less fortunate. We work with sponsored programs at high schools who do their own projects. We have several fundraisers to help pay for it all. Fishing Rodeo St Michaels Fundraiser Habitat for Humanity

  7. How We Raise Funds The Dawn Busters has the following annual fundraisers: Golf Tournament Pancake Breakfast Turkey Fry

  8. Sponsored Youth The Dawn Busters sponsor several clubs, and we help them with projects, fundraisers and socials. We help their officers develop as leaders through service. We award the best service leaders every year with scholarships. We bring them to conventions and leadership training conferences.   10. About Joining • Dues are very reasonable - $40/quarter, $13 a month, 40¢ per day. Will you sponsor one or more of your employees as members? • Find out More. Come to a meeting. You will see how fun our meetings are even at 7am! Come to a project. Volunteer and see how good it feels!
