  1. An Exceptional Mother Matthew 15:21-28 Mark 7:24-30

  2. What is an exceptional Mother according to the Word of God? Proverbs 31:10-31 • Motivated by her God given love, to unconditionally love her family. Her love is deep and different from that of a Father. • Others are taken care of first and she would have it no other way. • Teaches her children truth and to love and serve the Lord • Her happiness is directly linked to her children’s happiness • Expects nothing in return for her sacrifice, but it would be nice if she did. • Ready to serve at any moment, regardless of the time.

  3. A great example of an exceptional Mother (Matt 15:21-28, Mark 7:24-30) • She forgot the social order and approached Jesus even though she was not supposed to vs 22 (Matt 12:17, Eph 2:12,13) • What was happening to her child was happening to her. Vs 22 • She knew what was wrong with her child, because she knew her child. Vs 22 • She knew that Jesus could help her, so criticism and discouragement from the disciples did not stop her. Vs 23 • She was not ashamed to admit her unworthiness , but trusted the power and kindness of Jesus. Vs 27 • Faith has no boundaries and will always be rewarded. Vs 28

  4. What is the key to any of us being considered exceptional in the eyes of the Lord and not just Mothers? • Faith and faith alone in the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. • His ways, His truth His life, revealed in us, is the the one exceptional thing that bring blessings and favour into our lives
