Changingfor the Future Battling through a cultural shift is no easy task, but the benefits to be gained by persevering, by embracing technology in facilitating organisational and cultural change is the difference between sticking your head in the sand or striving to become an AQP and to be seen as a charity that is qualified, compliant and competent to offer vital services for an ever increasing need in social support.

  10. Changing for the Future Our final goal is to play a full role as an AQP in the NHS family GP’s have welcomed our discussions regarding information sharing, accessing client information, electronic discharges The changes we are undergoing are being recognised – we are beginning to be seen as a modernising and innovative charity N3 will enable us to link up to Choose and Book and other services N3 opens the door to a new world for many organisations, but for small charities it has the potential to help them realise fully how they can be an important, recognised and integral part in offering social care.

  11. Changing for the Future • The cost of change for small organisations is a huge burden • many charities do not have the means in place to enable them to achieve the goals unaided • the government may need to think about this if they want the reforms to become a reality with charities playing a bigger role in care delivery. • Charities can help deliver this care and be a crucial and valuable support to the NHS and should never give up in their endeavour!
