  2. Use an Indian wooden bowl for a center piece? What a fabulous year round decoration! I use my carved bowl every season and never get tired of the various ways of decorating to make each season special. If you like to decorate for each season like I do, you know what an impact the table decoration can make on your rustic home decor. I want to share some ideas with you that I use on my dining room table and I know you will love the look because I get compliments all the time. In fact, people love my wooden bowl so much that I now give them as gifts to my special friends.

  3. You will find that some bowls are shaped with a sanded finish while others may be shaped by a machete for more of a chiseled, rustic look. Each bowl is hand crafted from a native yellow pine log and can also be made with rawhide lacing. Whether you choose a more finished or rustic bowl, you will enjoy having an authentic bowl hand carved by the Tarahumara Indians for your south western home. Traditionally these bowls were used for food preparation, but they are now created to be used for home decor and native south western art.

  4. Most of the wooden bowls are rough sanded for more of a rustic look which will make the bottoms be more round than flat. I made mine less wobbly by touching it up on the bottom with my own sander. It turned out perfect for me to use as an addition to my rustic decor or for gift ideas. A creative way to display your wooden bowl is using it as a center piece on your dining table. You will enhance your rustic decor by displaying other items inside the authentic bowl. An assortment of fruit, pine cones, decorative orbs, and candy are just a few items that can be placed in your bowl for display. I have thoroughly enjoyed mine, especially at Christmas time.
