  1. God Is Faithful to His People Romans 11:1-10 By David Turner www.BibleStudies-online.com

  2. God’s Discipline is not rejection

  3. Luke 13:34–35 (ESV) 34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! 5 Behold, your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”

  4. Luke 21:24 24They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

  5. Acts 1:6–8 6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

  6. God doesn’t reject us

  7. Romans 8:38–39 38For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  8. God Hasn’t stopped loving the jews

  9. Romans 1:16 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

  10. Romans 9:4–7 4They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. 5To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen. 6But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, 7and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.”

  11. Romans 10:1 1Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. Romans 10:21 21But of Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”

  12. God Has Not rejected the jews!

  13. Romans 11:1–10 11I ask, then, has God rejected his people?

  14. 11I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin.

  15. 11I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin.

  16. Even in the bleakest hour God always has a remnant

  17. 2 God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” I Kings 18-19

  18. 4 But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”

  19. 5 So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. 6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

  20. The elect of Israel receive it, the rest god hardens

  21. 7 What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened,

  22. 8 as it is written,“God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.”

  23. 9 And David says, “Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them; 10 let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see, and bend their backs forever.”

  24. “The Jews considered God’s Word, in particular the Torah, to be their spiritual sustenance --- which indeed it was. But because of their rebellious unbelief, that Word became a judgment on them, a stumbling block and a retribution.” John MacArthur

  25. Does god harden us as well

  26. Romans 10:9–11 9because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
