3. Arabic has 28 letters, you read from right to left. Letters connect to each other with short dash. The word Salaam means “peace”. The word is used to greet someone and take leave. The first letter looks like a w and the diagonal dash on top is the short vowel a. Letter L looks like backwards L, and the long vowel ( aa) looks like a stick. The last letter is the letter m and it looks like a stick cane. The word (salam) is used to greet someone. Try to copy the word سلام in your notes. Don’t forget to write from right 

10. What is a dialect? Dialect is differences in accent, grammar and vocabulary among different versions of a language. For example, depending on where you live in England, one type of baked goods could be called buns, cobs or rolls. It is likely that when you speak in the dialect of a particular region, you will also speak in the accent of a particular region. However, incomers may speak the dialect of a region with a different accent. This may also apply to people who have emigrated from one country to another. They may speak a different form of a language from those born in that country.

11. Types of Arabic Dialects Arabic language is characterized by diglossia – a linguistic term that refers to a difference between the written versus the spoken form of a language. When written, Arabic is nearly always scribed in the "Modern Standard Arabic," the classic, universal form of the language that all Arabic speakers understand. However, when spoken, Arabic dialects can be distinguished as different regions have developed their own nuanced version of this Semitic language.

12. Arabic Dialects Some of the different Arabic dialects include: • Arabian Arabic: This is primarily spoken in Saudi Arabia. Arabian Arabic can be broken down into further sub-dialects, which include Bahraini Arabic, Gulf Arabic and Hejazi Arabic. • Egyptian Arabic: This is primarily spoken in Egypt. It is one of the most commonly spoken Arabic dialects, with over 76 million people around the world who speak Egyptian Arabic. • Lebanese Arabic: This is primarily spoken in Lebanon. Unlike many other Arabic dialects, Lebanese Arabic has remarkably simple syntax (sentence structure) and style, as it doesn't use different cases.
