  3. Who belongs to the PTA? EVERYONE! Any parent & teacher that wants to help Venetia Valley. All are welcome to become part of the group! We NEEDEVERYONE to participate.

  4. What does the PTA do? Support needs of the school and community by sponsoring fundraisers, community events & building a school community. Some examples: • Sponsor community building events such as Fall Carnival, Darling Daughter Dance & Book Fair • Donate $$ to each teacher account to use for classroom supplies • Provide funds for school beautification, school supply needs, garden (15k), Playworks (15k), K-2 music (~15k), middle school music (5k) and much, much more

  7. Whendo we meet? PTA General Meetings: • 1st Wednesday of each month: 6:30-8pm (Excludes December) • February will be the 2nd Wednesday of the month PTA Board Meetings: • 3rd Wednesday of each month: 5:30 – 7pm (time pending board approval)

  19. Falcon Fund Initial Campaign 8/23/2014 – 10/31/2014 • Incentives: • 20% of the falcon fund donations will go back to the classrooms the children are in (teacher acct) • Pizza Party for: • The class that raises the MOST money AND • Any Class that has 100% participation (includes teacher)

  21. If every family gave just $1/day Our students would have the same enrichment opportunities as their peers in other local schools, we will all filter into the same high schools one day! We could fund new enrichment…like a technology teacher, a dedicated PE teacher, an art teacher…possibilities are endless We would have ENOUGH to cover our projected expenses FOR THE YEAR – other fundraising money could pay for:

How Can YOUbe more involved? • VOLUNTEER! • Volunteers for large events (Carnival 10/18) • Get the word out about meetings, events • Fundraise with other parents for your grade level • Become a room parent • Volunteer for small jobs outside school hours (various) • Participate & advocate the Falcon Fund! • Join the PTA Board • Come to a PTA meeting or other PTA sponsored event

FALL CARNIVALSaturday, October 18 (11-4 pm) • Our biggest fundraising event • Amazing food booths with food made from our own Venetia Valley families • Our own Mr. See is the Master of Ceremonies for the day • Entertainment from VV alumni: Parent Band: Memory Laps • Affordable day of family fun for all with live performances from students, community band, games and rides

VV FALL CARNIVALWhat we need from parents… • Parent Volunteers (125 Volunteers staffing booths to make the day a success) • We need 70 more parents to volunteer • Food Donations (Flyers going home in a few weeks) • Baked Goods for ‘Cake Walk’ game • Cupcakes, Cakes, Cookies that will serve as prizes for the winners of the games
