Academic Action Plan • To be Eligible to participate in any sport the following criteria as it pertains to GPA is as follows: • Eligibility Requirements for Student-Athletes • Northgate High School Athletics are open to all students on a competitive basis. To actively participate in athletics, a student-athlete must: • Have a 2.0 G.P.A. in the grading period immediately preceding that sport season. • Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. in grading periods during the season. • Attend classes on day of participation. • *In an attempt to help Students Improve their academic performance, The Baseball Program requires this “Action Plan” when a participant or a prospective participant has a 2.25 GPA or less. No Baseball activity will be allowed until the Action plan is completed to those students with a GPA of 2.25 or less.*

  8. Program Absolutes • Program Absolutes are important for the development and continuity of the program. The purpose is to focus on a limited number of absolutes that the program coaching staff will demand. The Program Absolutes will be followed without exception. If these Absolutes are violated the player must be removed from the game for a minimum of one at bat regardless of defensive innings at the JV and Freshman level . • The “Game” Absolutes will be divided into two categories, Violation and Serious Violation. A serious violation the player is removed for entire game.

Winter Workout (optional) • Meeting for interested players will be posted after thanksgiving • We will recommend physical conditioning routines, allow access to new hitting and pitching facilities as well as develop a weight training program. • This is not a formal coached process but a volunteer program. • An adult will be with the students for any type of medical situations or opening and closing facilities………..NO Coaching Is Allowed!

Program Fees • Northgate General Baseball 2012 • APPROXIMATE! • Hat 2@ $22.50 = $45 • Tee Shirt 2@ $20 = $40 • *Umdaf Fee = $175 • * Booster Fee = $75 • Pre Game = $50 • ^^Helmet = $30 • ^^Pants = $35 • Crab feed/BBQ = $20 • Umpires = $0 (Booster’s approx 3600.00) • Balls = $0 (Booster’s program approx. $2,000) • Tourney Fees = $0 (Boosters program will approx. $1,400) • Please Make Checks out to Northgate Baseball • ^^ indicates Items purchased on your own- • Fundraising: • Line Of Credit (provided by Coach Jochner) $50,000.00 • Field Improvement Cost • Covered Batting Cages and pitching Cage ($37,609.00) • Outfield Fence Repair ($10,641.00) • Infield Sod repair Approx. ($5,000.00) • All donations will be applied to replenish the line of credit, once replenished we can complete Further field improvements.

Parent Expectations • Support Program • Join Northgate Boosters • Participation in boosters is directly related to Baseball funding • Participate 100% in team Sports Contribution • Do not approach any member of the coaching staff regarding Playing time or position of student/Athlete. Please encourage the student to talk with their coach. This is part of the development process and the coaches will work with the student to discuss expectations. The Coaches have been instructed not to discuss this with the parents. • Please no coaching from the stands during games, it does not help shouting instructions to your child when they are in the heat of battle, that goes for Grandpas and uncles as well.
