  3. Finishing Department • This is where socks are taken and made ready to ship out. • There are four steps after knitted: Turning Washing Boarding Tagging

  4. Turning Risk Factors: • Back problems • Bad posture (slouching shoulders) • Stress ( time is money)

  5. Recommendations • Elevate the height of the box. • Closer to machine to avoid leaning and slouching. • Improve the chair height to comfortable spot to limit amount of bending

  6. Washing • Risk factors: Lower back problems general fatigue Carpal tunnel syndrome feet pain

  7. Recommendations • Take more breaks • Possibly sit at moments. • Decrease the amount of twisting • Elevate the Washer and Dryer to comfortable height

  8. Associated Injuries • What are some of your common aches and pains? • Lower back injury • Feet Pain • Constant soreness in the shoulders

  9. Boarding • Risk factors: Tendonitis of Elbow Carpal Tunnel Burns Feet Pain Back pain Workplace stress

  10. Recommendations • Cushioned rubber matt • Try to decrease bending as much as possible • Hand protection • Wear long sleeved shirts
