  2. Faculty of PVAC • The Faculty of Performance, Arts, and Communications (PVAC) has one of the broadest portfolios in the creative arts of any of the research intensive Russell Group universities. It comprises: • School of Design • Institute for Communications Studies • School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies • School of Music • School of Performance and Cultural Industries

PVAC promotes excellence in learning and teaching, aims to provide a world class experience and plays host to many internationally significant research activities, including the Centre for Practice-led Research in the Arts. • The Faculty has responsibility for: • the Clothworkers Centenary Concert Hall, • the public-licensed theatre complex, stage@leeds, • the ULITA textile archive museum, • the Corridor Gallery • and • a range of flexible exhibition and performance spaces

ULITA • 'Tibor Reich: a Life of Colour and Weave‘ an exhibition of the works of the eminent 20th Century textile designerFrom 31st March to 26th June 2009 (Closed for 6 days over Easter bank holiday)This exhibition presents a selection of the works of the 20th Century textile designer Tibor Reich. After graduating from the University of Leeds in the early 1940s, he set up Tibor Ltd, which was to become one of the most innovative textile companies of the post war period. Clients included Concorde, Ercol, QE2, Lotus Cars, Coventry Cathedral and the Shakespeare Centre in Stratford- upon- Avon. His most famous designs include “Age of Kings”, “A tournament”, “A History of Shapes” and “Flamingo” which are now highly regarded among textile collectors and connoisseurs. The exhibition is selected from a collection on long term loan to ULITA from the Reich family. A monograph will soon be available to purchase from ULITA.
