  2. Background on CVEC • The Cape & Vineyard Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CVEC) was formed out of a strategic planning process commissioned and undertaken by the Cape Light Compact (CLC) • Neither CLC, nor its member towns, could develop electric generation projects and enter into long-term power purchase and other agreements • Desire to stabilize electric rates for all ratepayers with renewable energy projects • Develop renewable energy projects • Public policy • Currently twenty members

CVEC PV Initiatives- ROUNDS 1 & 2 • Two RFP Processes for Municipal projects through the Cooperative: • Fall of 2010 • Fall of 2011 • American Capital Energy selected for Round 1 in April 2011 ~ 14MW • Broadway Electric selected for Round 2 in April 2012 ~ 25MW • Round 1: • 8 projects ranging from .627 – 4.6MW (Average 2.03MW) • Hard copy applications & fee in to NStar from 9/15/11 to 11/17/11
