NOTES ON MAFISA EXPENDITURE The institutions that have disbursed more than 100% of their allocations are those that have started on-lending from the repayments received The two institutions that have performed the worst in terms of disbursements are MADC/MEGA and GEP, which incidentally are both SOEs Both institutions have had challenges ranging from the impact of merger processes to lack of capacity The department has since resolved to terminate the agreements with the two institutions SASA is the newest of the institutions to sign the participation agreement with DAFF and hence the relatively low disbursement figures
