  5. Most recruiters and hiring managers will eventually want to know how much you know about the company and the position for which you have applied. Conducting background research will help demonstrate this knowledge and it will also indicate how seriously you want the job.

  7. Use for Professional networking with employers: Use for social networking with friends: (user beware—you’re future boss may be watching!) NETWORKING is still the preferred method of connecting to employers. Networking events, gatherings, mixers, meetings are also very good opportunities

  9. Following up after an interview is just as important as developing a winning resume. Thank You letters, or any other form of communication necessary to further demonstrate your enthusiasm and interest in the position.
