  2. Sunday 3/2 Do Now • Write 2-3 sentences explaining what happened in Chapter 10.

  3. Sunday 3/2 • Read Chapter 11 – Pages 103-109 • Questions:1) What does Brian notice about himself?2) What does Brian realize? Will this help him? • Assignment: Read Chapter 12-13 – Pages 110-127 and write 1 paragraph summary of chapters.Due: Wednesday 3/5

  4. Monday 3/3 Do Now • Be working on completing Hatchet packet to Question 24.

  5. Monday 3/3 – Adverbs • Adverb: word that modifies a verb, an adjective or another adverb. • Answers the questions: Where? When? How? How often/How long? To what extent? How much?Examples:1) The sprinter ran fast.2) Khalid is a very small child.3) I will run therelater.

  6. Monday 3/3 – Adverbs • Common adverbsaway, here, inside, there, up, later, now, soon, then, tomorrow, clearly, easily, quietly, slowly • Assignment: Complete Exercise 7 Questions 1-10 on Page 56 of Holt Handbook.

  7. Tuesday 3/4 Do Now • Identify the adverbs in the following sentences. • The plane flew quickly. • I will talk to you later. • Often times people talking loudly. • I walk on the corniche often. • There was a dark red ball.

  8. Tuesday 3/4 – Timeline • Create a timeline of 10 events from Hatchet thus far. • You should have this completed by the end of the hour and it should be in chronological order.

  9. Wednesday 3/5 Do Now • Write 4 sentences, 2 using a transitive verb and 2 using an intransitive verb.

  10. Wednesday 3/5 • Quiz: Verbs and Novel • When you finish your quiz, begin reading chapter 14.

  11. Thursday 3/6 – Do Now • SSR: Finish Reading Chapter14 • Complete a Journal entry for Chapter 14
