Mission NASTAD strengthens state and territory-based leadership, expertise and advocacy and brings them to bear on reducing the incidence of HIV and viral hepatitis infections and on providing care and support to all who live with HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis Vision NASTAD’s vision is a world free of HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis

NASTAD Priorities • Implementation of the Affordable Care Act • Continuation of the Ryan White Program and AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs) • Increased federal funding for HIV prevention, surveillance, care, treatment, STD and viral hepatitis programs • Advancing work on health equity for gay men/MSM of all races/ethnicities/ages, Black women, injecting drug users • Addressing stigma in public health practice • Changing state HIV-specific criminalization laws and administrative policy • Continuation of Global Program consistent with NASTAD mission • Technical assistance to NASTAD members on all program components
