Building capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces at the national level - relying on its own capacities. Building capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces at the regional level - cooperation with partnership initiatives. SAF

  3. Missions of the Serbian Armed Forces: Defense of the Republic of Serbia from armed threats from outside, Participation in building and maintaining peace in the region and the world and Support to civilian authorities in countering security threats. SAF

Key aspects of Serbian security policy: Building capacities for deterring armed threats to the Republic of Serbia, Regional cooperation as an answer to security challenges, Commitment to participation in peace keeping operations under the UN and EU auspices, Military cooperation with countries within “Partnership for Peace” Program. SAF

  5. Security challenges, risks and threats in SE Europe: Terrorism, Islamic extremism, Migration crisis and Natural disasters caused by climate changes. SAF

  8. SAF • Need for more intensive partnership cooperation • Partnership is good and required “BRIDGES SHOULD BE BUILT NOT BURNT” we should cooperate, keep and build peace by joint efforts and look into the future
