  3. Congratulations to the JV and Varsity volleyball teams. • They defeated Penn Hills at home last night. The team travels to Woodland Hills on Thursday.   • Good luck girls. 

  4. Congratulations to the Field Hockey Team, they defeated Greensburg Central Catholic by a score of 4-3.

  5. Attention, Seniors. • Senior College Meetings begin today in the Guidance Office • Please do not arrive late.

  6. Ms Teeters Spanish 2 Honors class is reminded to report to the computer lab for class today.

  7. There will be a meeting for all students interested in joining the Forensics team, TODAY after school in the lecture hall. • If you have any questions, please see Mr. MacDonald in room J104.

  8. Fencing Club • The fencing club will meet on September 5, after school in the OC Cafeteria. • Anyone interested in joining the Fencing Team is welcome to attend. • We will discuss the practice schedule and what the schools require to participate. • First practice will be on September 5!

  10. Headband Sale • If you would like to purchase a headband, like the ones given away on Friday during the Calendar Kick-Off, stop in the Alumnae Office and see Ms. O’Brien-Rice. • The cost of each headband is $10.

  11. Attention seniors: If you attended  the Kairos Retreat last year and are interested in being a Kairos Leader this Fall, please pick up an application from Ms. Farrell or Ms. Dorrie.  

  12. Interested in gardening?   Join Mrs. Gentile next Monday, September 9, right after school, to re-plant the small gardens by the JOA entrances.  Many hands make light work!

  13. The first meeting of OC Theater Company will be this Thursday, September 5, from 2:40 until 4:00 p.m in the JOA Theater.    All are welcome!!

  14. The First Campus Ministry Meeting for the year will be September 12th in room G10 from 2:45 - 3:30.   Please plan to attend!  

  15. Attention Juniors and Seniors College Visits begin on September 9th Please review the visit list on the Ground Floor Guidance bulletin board, the tv screens, RenWeb or Naviance to view the list of colleges visiting OC.  Sign up and get your pass in the Guidance Office

  16. Cheerleading tryouts for the 2013-2014 season will take place on September 3 and 5 from 2:50 to 5pm in the Aux Gym. • There will be a parent meeting on September 4 at 6pm in the lecture hall. • Please see Ms Teeters in room 211 if you have any questions.

  17. The 47th Annual Duquesne University College Fair will be held at the A.J. Palumbo Center on Sunday, October 13th from 1PM to 3PM Over 150 colleges and universities will be in attendance.  This is a great way to meet with representatives from a variety of schools No registration is required.
