SP600: Packaging • Flange Mounted Enclosures: • Convert from NEMA 1 to IP20 by removing top ventilation cover • Expose the heatsink out the rear of the cabinet for external heat dissipation. • Reduce cabinet size • Reduce cost of cabinet cooling • IP20 conversion allows operation at ambient cabinet temperature of 50°C • Mounting hardware and gasket included with every flange mount unit. • Heatsinks are painted with corrosion protective paint for survivability in harsh environments. • Only a $40.00 List premium over standard wall mount models. SP600: Performance • Sensorless Vector Control • Standard configuration, Out-of-the-box! • Good Low Speed Torque Production • Good Constant Torque and Constant Hp performance • Note that in the case of a 5Hp SP600 and a standard XE motor, how well the 3 second overload limit of 150% breaks over sharply. • In this example the Drive has an 8.0 Amp continuous rating and the motor has a 6.4 Amp Nameplate. • 3 Methods of Motor Tuning • Calculation based on motor data • Static tune by current injection • Dynamic tune by running motor

SP600: Performance • V/Hz & SVC Operation • Common Overload Ratings • 110% OL for 60 seconds • 150% OL for 3 seconds • 400% OL scaling for over-sizing the drive while maintaining appropriate drive & motor protection • Select V/Hz for: • Centrifugal Fans & Pumps • Multiple motors / single drive • Punch Presses • Select SVC for: • Positive Displacement Pumps • Unit Conveyors, one drive / motor • Extruders • Mixers Torque production is maintained in SVC operation at speed settings of 0.5 Hertz down to 0.0 Hertz. The limitation of 0.5 Hertz indicated in the graph above is to identify the lowest level of speed operation where predictable speed control and regulation can be expected.

SP600: Braking • Dynamic (Snubber) Braking • Low-Energy Snubber Resistor kit mounts cleanly on the back of the drive’s heatsink • Does not affect depth dimension • Wires cleanly to DC Bus terminals with grommet to seal rear entrance • Ideal for; • fast stops ( low duty cycles ) • correction of speed overshoot • absorbing small line transients • DC Bus terminals also allow connections for larger, externally mounted resistors where higher duty-cycles or inertia’s are involved.

  14. SP600: LCD OIM - Local & Remote models Display Icon allows operators to configure the OIM for language, monitoring, function keys and other considerations. Memory Icon allows operators to load and save different parameter sets into the OIM and, subse- quently, into the drive; or to restore factory-set defaults. Device Select Icon allows opera- tors to identify and select the drive or peripheral device from which to obtain data. Password Icon provides protec- tion against modification of any writeable parameter by an un- authorized user and select parameter access levels. Start Up Icon provides access to Quick Start utility that allows for Fast, easy set-up involving only Seven parameter groups. Parameter Icon provides quick Access to drive and peripheral- Component parameters. Control Source Icon allows Control and reference selection. Diagnostics Icon provides infor- mation on faults and alarms. Icons provide users an intuitive interface as well as a logical method of grouping access to drive functions and operations.
