General Categories of Support Services Provided • Technical and strategic support to Mission Environmental Officers & key USAID program staff in identifying ways to use ESD principles and compliance requirements at the earliest stages in policy, program and activity design • Increase the long-term sustainability of Mission Country Integrated Strategic Plans by helping Missions with systematic application of USAID ESD principles, USAID Environmental Procedures and SEAM processes during Strategic Plan development as outlined in ADS 201.

What is [R]QEMS • a concept for a potential Regional Environmental Quality, Management and Services (REQMS) contract mechanism that—through buy-ins from requesting USAID missions and partners—could provide services to meet needs in: • environmental compliance, • environmental assessments, • environmental capacity building, and • environmentally sustainable design.

  6. Possible tasks, management options, and contract mechanisms for the REQMS • Need feedback from missions and partners regarding the demand for and nature of such a mechanism
