Why (1) • Nowadays the importance of ICT increases day by day in every part of people’s social life. • Not only for their private life but also being a member of Europe requires an access to current information flow. • In many European countries +55 adult people do not have the required knowledge and opportunity to access ICT.

  4. How (1) Connecting +55objectives: • Developing ICT skills among senior citizens. • Creating a transnational network among the partners involved in the project, in order to enhance information flow about other EU/EU-candidate countries. • Increasing interest in different languages.

  5. Connecting +55isfocused on : • reducing the digital gap between old and young, • promoting an active citizenship, • developing lifelong learning of high quality.

  6. In order to achieve the project aims the partnership: • enables all involved to use the internet based platform - FirstClass, • contributes to enhancing language learning and learning about the partners’ cultural identities, • shares expertise, concerning different approaches to adult learning.

How in Poland? • Meeting with rector of Gdansk University of Technology and establishing formal co-operation between GUT and Seniors’ Club at Gdansk University of Technology. • Meeting with dean of Electronic Department in order to find out and book a computer laboratory for ICT training. • Preparing a syllabus for the computer training based on existing resources (e.g. Seniors academy online, training materials produced under Meeting of Generations Grundtvig project).

Continuingine-enior.euin action, fromSeptember 2009 untilApril 2010 • Open-air meetings in Czarlina GUT summer camp presentation of ideas and project tasks, additional recruitment of participants; • Design and the implementation of the web site e-senior.eu; • The choice and start up the Learning Management System (LMS); • Workshops at Technical University of Gdansk- registration of LMS Moodle users; • Preparation, implementation, testing of e-courses;
