  7. Tension points • What is an academic pursuit? • Offensive viewpoint or harassment? • Not everyone wants resolution!

Good relations good practice • Work with student societies and other stakeholder • Standards of behaviour and codes of practice • Challenging inappropriate behaviour • Induction and training on rights and responsibilities • Good relations as part of wider diversity approach But... there will always be tension that needs to be managed because of the nature of higher education
