  2. John 1:11-12 (NKJV) - He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: • Romans 11:11 (NKJV) - I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. Romans 1:16 (NKJV) - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

  3. 1. The Excuse of Material Possessions- Verse 18 • Mark 8:36-37 - For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? • Luke 12:16-21 - Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. John 3:15-16 (KJV) - That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Acts 2:21 (KJV) - And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 (KJV) - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes
