  3. POSTGRADUATE STUDIES IN E-BUSINESS AND INTERNET TECHNOLOGIESLessons learnt from 2001-2004.

  4. NECESSITY OF QUALIFIED STAFF IN THE YUGOSLAV SOCIETY There is a significant need for qualified staff in this field both in our country and abroad. Bearing in mind that in the next period undergraduate studies will not be able to satisfy the needs of the domestic market, one will have to find an adequate solution in establishing graduate specializations of personnel who has experience in the use of information technologies. The Faculty will, for marketing purposes, in connection with the admission of students and course activities, sign cooperation agreements with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Economy, leading Internet providers and other successful firms in this field.

  5. SPECIALIST STUDIES At the Faculty of Organizational Science, University of Belgrade, in 2001. we begin with postgraduate specialist studies in: 1. Internet technologies 2. Electronic business Since 2001, there was more than 500 students in booth specialities.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS • Admission requirements are defined by the law : Degree in technical or social sciences. • The ''Internet tehnology''specialization is adjusted to students who have graduated in techical science, while the '‘Electronic business '' is adjusted to students who have a degree in social sciences.

  8. EXAM REGULATIONS ANDSPECIALIZATION FEATURES • The specialist studies of Electronic business and Internet technology include 5 courses from which 2 are compulsory and the other 3 can be chosen from a list of 10 courses. • The Faculty provides, throughout the academic year consultations on writing essays, exam preparation, and in writing the final paper. • After passing all courses a student qualifies to write a final paper. After consulting his tutor a student can suggest a topic. A student is obliged to defend his thesis (final paper) in front of an examining panel comprising of at least three members appointed by the University Board.

  11. COURSE METHODOLOGY Courses are conducted in the form of lectures and practical work. Focus will be made on the analysis and solving of practical problems. Teaching staff will include professors from the Faculty of Organizational Science and other leading Belgrade faculties and other experts in this field. Practical work will be undertaken in cooperation with leading Internet providersand successful business organizations in the field of electronic management.

TITLE AND DIPLOMA • After completion of specialist studies a student is awarded the title of: • SPECIALIST IN INTERNET TECHNOLOGY • SPECIALIST IN ELECTRONIC BUSINESS • and receives an appropriate University diploma. • After completed specialist studies it is possible to continue postgraduate MSc studies in Electronic Business at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences .

EXAM REGULATIONS ANDSPECIALIZATION FEATURES • The Master studies of Electronic business includes 8 courses from which 3 are compulsory and the other 5 can be chosen from a list of 13 courses. • Duration of Master studies is 2 years (four semester) • After passing all courses a student qualifies to write a MSc thesis. After consulting his tutor a student can suggest a topic. A student is obliged to defend his thesis in front of an examining panel comprising of at least three members appointed by the University Board.
