Their Background A haberdasher, a dyer, a carpenter, a weaver and a carpet-maker were among our ranks • Guildsmen are groups of craftsmen from the middle ages. • Most of the guildsmen in this story deal with fabric and making carpets and clothing. There is also a carpenter • They tend to be hard workers and are good at what they do. Haberdasher: Sells men’s clothing

Personality Traits Their knives were not tricked out in brass, but wrought with purest silver… • They are educated in their trade • They are seem very full of themselves. • They keep things clean Silver was reserved for knights, the guildsmen were very full of themselves if they dared to use silver on their knives.

  4. Dress/attire They were so trim and fresh their gear could pass for new. • They kept very clean uniforms • They strive towards perfection • They are fairly rich for people who weren’t nobility

  5. Summoner

  6. Background • The Summoner tell the accused to go to court. • This is a court under the church, often times the accusations were unfair.

  7. Personality traits Drinking strong red wine till all was hazy then he would shout and jabber as if crazy. And wouldn’t speak a word except in Latin… • Crude • Hypocritical • Loves drinking • Speaks only in Latin • Easily angered

Thinks/Feels He was a noble varlet and a kind one you’d meet none better if you went to find one, why he’d allow- just for a quart of wine- any good lad to keep a concubine….He knew their secrets, they did what he said. • He enjoys abusing the power of his job • He is very dishonest and will take bribes • He might be bitter because of his ugliness Varlet: Scoundrel

  9. Appearance His eyes were narrow, he was hot and lecherous as a sparrow. Black scabby brows he had and a thin beard, children were afraid when he appeared. • Hideous with boils, fat, drunk, dirty, narrow eyes, stinky. • Really unpleasant
