  1. Legacy Within The Context Of My Family By Steven Lai 4/8/12

  2. Definition Of Legacy • A legacy is something handed down by an ancestor or by a predecessor from one's past. A legacy isn't just an inanimate object. It can also be a talent or a love from something. In addition, it can also be a story.

  3. Perceiving Legacy from one generation to the next. • My legacy within my family is working hard. I will perceive my family’s legacy by sharing the legacy to my kids, nephew's, niece and grandchildren. By perceiving the legacy to the next generation, I would explain to them by following the legacy, it is important because it is a traditional thing and also it is good to follow them because of the good outcomes. In addition, I would tell the next generation stories of how members of the family became successful because of hard working. For example, I would explain to them on how my father worked hard and in the end, he is enjoying his job. Also his legacy will be remembered because of his hard work, he is able to support the family by fixing the house, provide food and care.

  4. Contributing The Family’s Legacy • I contribute the legacy to the next generation by reminding them on how and why it is important to follow the legacy. Also I would use a lot of examples on how members of the family became successful to motivate them.
