  2. Our Team • Total of 36 members • 1stto 4th year students • Civil, Mech. and Elec.

  3. Concrete • Design & Construction • Mix Designs • Total of nine mix designs • Used RCA (Recycled Concrete), Bentonite, Slag, Fly Ash, Glass, Bamboo, Sawdust • CSA standards for material testing

  4. Ski Design • Brainstorming • Model • Reinforcement • Forms

  5. Superstructure • Frame must sit five members, and withstand an 80km/hr front end impact test • The frame was constructed using 6061 T6 Aluminum tubing

  6. Steering & Braking • Our design utilizes the same steering mechanism as an ATV. • The brakes this year are similar to last year’s.

  7. Event Results • Total of 21 teams from across Canada • 1st for Technical Report • 5th for Concrete Mix Design • 9th for Toboggan Design • 16th Overall

  8. 2013/2014 Future Plans • Next year’s event being hosted by UWO • Goal is to create a unique and environmentally friendly,toboggan featuring bamboo
