Space Exploration. Race to Space. In the early 1950’s the U.S.A & the C.C.C.P announced plans to sent a satellite to Space. The Russians got there first launching Sputnik 1 A month later they launched Sputnik 2 with a passenger Laika, a dog. She was to die in space. Space Agencies.
