Inter-Prostate SPORE Biomarker Study (IPBS) • Develop an interoperability system to allow data and specimen sharing among Prostate SPORE programs • Interoperability system must be caBIG compatible at the “silver” level by time of pilot system delivery • Utilize caBIG tools wherever possible (e.g. caTISSUE, caTIES, CAE) • Assist Prostate SPOREs in connecting site-specific databases to the interoperability system

What we have • Home-grown system: Prostate SPORE Clinical Database • Designed for the clinical (non-pathology) data in the SPORE • Home-grown system: Tissuebank • Designed and used specifically for the Prostate SPORE and Breast SPORE tissue needs • Home-grown system: NOTIS • Designed for managing protocol life cycle and patient consenting, accrual and calendar • Freezerworks • Used for all activity in Pathology Core

  4. Mapping of IPBS elements to Home grown system • Majority maps to Prostate SPORE Clinical Database • Some maps to Tissuebank • Some maps to NOTIS

  7. IPBS to CTOM All elements map to CTOM (with some creativity) • Age -> Participant. • Race-> Participant. Need to map into raceCode and ethnicGroupCode. • Date of diagnosis -> Activity and Diagnosis. • PSA -> Procedure (possibly SpecimenCollection) and ClinicalResult • Clinical stage -> CancerStage • Biopsy Gleason -> Procedure (possibly SpecimenCollection) and ClinicalResult (or Histopathology) • Pathology Gleason -> Surgery and Histopathology • Surgical margins -> Histopathology • Seminal vesicle involvement -> ClinicalResult • Organ confined -> ClinicalResult • Lymph node metastases -> MetastasisSite • Neoadjuvant treatment, dose XRT; adjuvant treatment, dose XRT -> SubstanceAdministration (for hormone) or Radiation • Recurrence, recurrence date -> Observation • Last followup status & date -> Activity and ClinicalResult
