Base Cost • Design and scope is agreed mutually between the parties • Letter of intend is signed committing the parties to accept the cost resulting in the implementation • Clearing House appointed (NORDUnet)-------------------------------------------------- • All cost is collected by the clearing house • The consortium parties are invoiced according to the agreed % split (in the Nordics based on national GDP)

  4. Service cost • The NREN that wants the service agrees with the operating NREN (SUNET) • An order form is signed committing the ordering NREN to accept the cost resulting in the implementation • Clearing House is informed-------------------------------------------------- • All cost is collected by the clearing house • The ordering NREN is invoiced the full cost of providing the Service If a NREN or Project not part of the consortium wants a service across the infrastructure, an additional fee to cover the proportional base cost is invoiced on top of the service cost

  5. Summary • Design and scope is agreed mutually between all the parties • Letter of intend is signed committing the parties to accept the cost resulting in the implementation • Clearing House • Contracts are between the clearing house and an NREN, not between NRENs-------------------------------------------------- • Base cost is distributed according to an agreed model • Service cost is invoiced to the ordering NREN
