  1. The project for the memorial complex devoted to the Circassian people expelled from their Motherland during the Russian-Caucasian war 1763–1864 Project designed by: Sculptor – ArsenGushapsha Architect – AsiyatMidova («ArchPlay studio»)

  2. Annotation • The architectural and sculptural complex consists of two monuments to be situated on the opposite sides of the Black Sea coast. The monument on the Caucasian side symbolizes a horseman – defender of the Fatherland. It faces South in the direction of Turkey, where the other monument is placed in the form of the Mother. The sculpture of the Mother looks towards the sea in the direction of the Motherland, the Caucasus. • The inside spaces of the monuments are to be used as museums of the Russian-Caucasian war and expulsion. The arrangement of the exhibition inside is possible due to the vertical ramp system of the atrium type. The exhibition contains information, historic facts and objects, reflecting the events of those days. Each of the monuments will have a small copy of the one on the opposite side together with the description of the monument and the museum. • The height of the monument is estimated to be 25 or 30 metres. The material used is metal-concrete monolith.
