Alma implementationnext generation library management system • Cloud born and vendor hosted unified system developed in partnership with other Early Adopters, 2011 to the present – work in progress • Replaced multiple legacy systems reducing interoperability overheads and overall lifecycle cost, capturing efficiency gains • Integrates with digital supply chain and campus IT systems e.g. uBase • Migrated on schedule, and “go live” was 20 June 2013 • Bibliographic records 1 768 886; serial holdings 78 784 • Loans 41 836; staff and student records 48 507 • New functionality to improve lending services e.g. autorenewals • Retained existing key functionality supporting variable dynamic loans, 24/7 self service offer and access control to sites • Feedback on autorenewals welcome • Thanks for your patience during implementation

  4. New Engineering Building Building name to be confirmed The NEB will contain our new Information Commons East (ICE) 800 to 1,000 study spaces Work has started on site following completion of planning process and demolition of Jessop Edwardian wing Programme shows building open September 2015
