  2. ‘Cite’ means: • Verb • Definition of CITE • 1…………………. • 2 to quote as an example, authority, or proof < He cites several sources in his research.> • 3………………………. • 4 to use information from another, especially as an example or proof. <She told us to cite an example that would show the class what we meant.> • Examples of CITE • The report cites several experts on the subject. • He cited a web site by a person who studied this topic.

  10. Publishing Company Name Book example: Silver Buckle Press

  11. Year Published Book example: 2005 You can usually find this date on the verso page of a book – the page behind the title page.

  15. What goes on a web site citation? Author

  16. Title of the article on the Web Page

  17. Name of the Web Page(if it’s different from the article)

  18. What year was it posted or updated? Date Posted or Updated Only use the most current date you find/

  19. What’s the source? • Web.

  26. Let’s do one together! 1. Open Word 2. Type ‘Works Cited’ at the top 3. Go to the TMS library page 4. Click on ‘Creative Commons’ 5. Click on ‘Flickr” 6. Type in ‘climate’ 7. Choose a picture on page 1; click on it 7 ½. Save the picture in to your ‘H’ drive 8. Copy the URL 9. Paste it into the Bibme tool for PHOTOGRAPHS!
