Our Vision To put children and young people at the heart of practice by engaging them within a framework of participation, consultation and involvement which enables their views, voices and experiences to shape and improve service delivery. By doing this we also aim to support their personal development and understanding of their own personal journeys.

  3. Core Projects Children in Care Councils (known locally as Listen and Care Councils) monthly consultation and social groups for young people in care. • Junior LACC – a group for 8 -13 year olds to enjoy social activities and to help support projects that make a real change for young people in Plymouth. • Senior LACC – a group for 13 – 17 year olds who help shape policies and initiate change for Plymouth's young people. • Care Experience Council (CEC) – a supportive, social group for care experienced young people aged 18 -25 years old.

  4. Core Projects • UKYP/Youth Cabinet - a city-wide youth forum who act as the voice of young people in Plymouth and support the elected Members and deputy Members of Youth Parliament campaigning on different issues and organising events. 11 -19 yrs old • YSG - The Young Safeguarders group is a young person’s shadow board of the Plymouth Safeguarding Children Board (PSCB). 14 – 19 yrs old • Young Recruiters - young people aged 11+ areinvolved in interviewing new social workers, foster carers and other posts relating to children and young people, such as youth workers. Full training is provided.
