The main idea that this book transmits, is the contemp of society to diferents people. And as secundary idea, the book shows us this fact in the life of a brain disabled person who had a surprising job in spite of his several dificulties.

  2. CHARACTERS The main characters are: - Fernando Méndez : He is a brain paralysed, he has a psicology degree. Since he was a child, ha has had to overcome a lot of obtacles to become what he is now. - Carmen : She is a humble and understading woman. She has got a gold heart. She looked after Fernando during the first days of his life and she asks for nothing. Her role is very important in each chapter of the book.

  3. - Carlos Alberto : He is sixteen years old and he had got a realist point of view of life for his age. After the death of his best friend, he begins to wonder about life’s cruelty. - Andrés : He is Carmen and Fermin’ son. He teaches Fernando to analyse his life with other eyes and to connect with the world around him in spite of his problems.

  4. PERSONAL OPINONS SANDRA: “It’s a very emotional and sentimental book. I like it because it makes us think about discrimination of people with problems or phisycal dificulties.” CARMEN: “ I think the book is a bit boring althought it has had taught me to value people with mental deficiencies. A thing that I had never done before.” VERÓNICA: “ I think that this book is a set of examples of real life, which introduces us to the refletion about the importance we give things. It’s also a realist novel about physics disabilies. It is very humanist because it reflects how human beings can help.”

  5. ÁFRICA: “ I think it’s a very interesting book. It relates us a nice story full of dificulties and it makes us show our respect to human beings.” LETICIA: “ I like the book very much, but sometimes it’s a bit boring. The book can help you to know, to acept and not to treat diferently people because they were born with a mental deficiency. With it I realize that people are very insensitive with other people . And many of us think that a person with a mental deficiency is a problem. With it I have learnt to be more human.”
