  1. Example (Using one Support) • Lead • Support • Textual Evidence • Evidence Commentary • Persuasive Analysis • Examples/Details • Closing/Transition Homeless people were one of the biggest concerns during the hurricane. No one knew where to go or what to do. When the mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin, declared a mandatory evacuation, “1.3 million people evacuated the day before Katrina hit. However, 20,000 25,000 people stayed in their homes and waited it out” (Wilson 34). The thousands of people that “waited it out” suffered from loss of food, electricity, and clothes. It is clear that the citizens were misinformed on the severity of the hurricane, and it would have been beneficial if city officials had created mandatory evacuation. Perhaps thousands of lives would have been saved. The hurricane misplaced many families; moreover, President Bush sent About 200,000 of the Katrina victims to Houston for shelter. The rest of them took shelter in the Louisiana Superdome, San Antonio, Dallas, and northern states (Caruso 45). The hurricane created stable families into victims of homelessness, but more seriously the hurricane’s after effects made many people unwell. **Each of your body paragraphs must have at least 2-3 supports.**
