  9. How are you? • I’m fine, thank you. And you? I’m not good. I’m not fine. I’m good. I’m great! I’m okay. I’m so-so.

  10. Where are you from?(nationality) I’m from China. I am Chinese. I’m from America. I am American. I’m from Australia. I am Australian.

  11. “Where are you from in…. ?” • You can learn more information about where someone is from by asking “where in…?”. • If you know someone is from a country (China, USA, France), you can ask this to find which state/province or city they are from. • “Where are you from in China?” • I’m from Zhejiang Province. • “Where in Zhejiang Province are you from?” • I’m from Jiaxing. • “Where in Jiaxing are you from?” • I’m from Jiaxing City, in Nanhu District.

  12. “I’m originally from, but now I live in…” • You can use ‘originally’ to talk about your hometown or where you first lived. It’s followed by ‘but now’ to say where you live now and call your home. • “I’m originally from the US, in North Carolina, but now I live in China.” • You can also use ‘used to live’ to talk about where you have lived before. • “I used to live in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, New York City, Miami in the US, Seoul in South Korea and Santa Barbara, in central California.”
