  9. Grade Scale • A 93-100 • B 85- 92 • C 77-84 • D 70-76 • F 69 and below.

  10. Check to make sure attendance is correct.7th and 8th Grade students will NOT have a GPA or career credits on their report card.

HONOR ROLL Eligibility for the Honor Roll is determined as follows: HONORS Minimum of GPA – 85.0000 Minimum of 5 courses No maximum number of 93% or better – A’s No maximum number of 85% or better – B’s No more than 1 grade of 77% - 84% or 1 C’s No percentages of 76% or lower or D’s, F’s, U’s, NC’s, WF’s, I’s

Directions Class • Class is two days a week and lasts for one semester. • Based on the schools mission statement. • Classes focuses on helping students develop in the four domains of Personal, Social, Academic, and Career. • Class will involve both individual and group work. • Grades are based on class participation.

First Day Procedures • Each bus will drop students off at the Elementary entrance. • Students will eat breakfast in the Elementary cafeteria or report to the high school auditorium until dismissed to homerooms. • During homeroom you will: • identify your locker, get supplies (pencils, erasers, etc..) • Learn classroom rules You will be given a new copy of your schedule on the first day of school.

  23. Parent/ School Cooperation • Communication – Talk everyday! • Attendance – We want students to attend everyday. • Discipline/Dress Code – Remember respect! • Cafeteria – ID same as last school year

  25. “Make Every Day Count”Attendance Matters • Your child can suffer academically. • Chronic Absence not only affects the absentee students, it disrupts learning for the entire classroom! • It’s the law! • Chapter 11 of PA School Code Law

Attendance Policy • Student Handbook, pages 41-46 • Student must have a valid excuse for each absence. • Failure to submit an excuse will necessitate counting the absence as illegal. • Continued illegal absences have consequences: • Three illegals: Warning status • After three: Fine • Four illegals: Child and Youth • After four: Truancy Elimination Plan • Twenty: All extra-curricular activities are revoked • Twenty-Five: Possible retention
