- You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2- And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3- You therefore must endure hardshipas a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
- No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of [this] life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5- And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
- Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
- See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
- Rejoice always, 17- pray without ceasing, 18- in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
- Do not quench the Spirit. 20- Do not despise prophecies. 21- Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22- Abstain from every form of evil.
