Before You Begin:Assign Information Classification

  • Protect Cisco’s assets by designating the appropriate classification:

    • Cisco Public (May be freely shared inside and outside of Cisco)

    • Cisco Confidential (Most information within Cisco; any Cisco personnel with a badge can create and gain access)

    • Cisco Highly Confidential—Controlled Access(Sensitive information; information steward must approve all distribution)

    • Cisco Restricted—Redistribution Prohibited(Extremely sensitive information; extremely limited distribution)

  • For more detail on this policy, please click here while in slide show

To assign the correct classification:

  • Use PowerPoint Find/Replace function (Ctrl F on PC, F on Mac)

  • Enter “Cisco Confidential” into the “Find” field (copy and paste)

  • Click “Replace,” then type the appropriate classification into the “Replace With” field (copy from list at left and paste)

  • Click “Replace All”

    Add your steward info to the Summary, under File/Properties
