Student Engagement Resources Global Brigades Holistic Model Approach Holistic Model Approach Global Brigades was started as a Medical Relief organization solely focusing on providing medical care in rural villages of Honduras. During medical brigades students and physicians noticed that a lot of medical issues such as diarrhea, parasites, and respiratory problems where due to larger issues that were preventable. From this other GB programs were created such as Dental, Water and Public Health Brigades. Through continuous work in communities GB also saw that there were a lot of other needs being expressed by community members.
