America’s Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs) are governing bodies that anticipate & answer the needs of local labour markets. They develop LM intelligence, oversee the local One Stop system, and procure the delivery of services in partnership with the Federal and State governments.
Board membership must be 51% from private sector business industry, and includes One Stop operators and local departments of welfare, education, health and labour.
Most WIBs include FE colleges, unions, economic developers, school systems, chambers of commerce, universities & service providers.
