  2. Why Do Students Take A Night School Course? To repeat a course for a better grade and grade-point-average (GPA) To recover a credit lost by a failing grade To add an extra course that would not fit into the normal day schedule of classes To earn a credit necessary for on-time graduation

  3. Program Details • The Night School Program offers a blend of in-class instruction with online learning. In addition to the computer lab sessions held twice per week, students are able to access their coursework wherever there is an Internet connection. • A course schedule typically lasts 16 weeks during which students will complete a yearlong course for a high school credit. Courses are taught by certified content teachers who will support each student in a computer lab environment. • The Night School program offers students personalized instruction, one-to-one support, and open lines of communication so students and parents can connect with teachers when needed. 

  4. Available Courses • English 9 • English 10 • English 11 • English 12 • Earth Science • Biology • Oceanography • Astronomy • Algebra I • Geometry • Algebra, Functions, & Data Analysis (AFDA) • World History I • US/VA History • US/VA Government • Economics and Personal Finance

  5. Enrollment Information • Courses are $250, payable by cashier's check or money order only. • Students are limited to one course per semester session. • Classes will be held at FPHS and SJHS at 5-8 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday evenings. • Attendance is mandatory. • Courses will be cancelled if enrollment does not meet the minimum enrollment standard and payments will be refunded. • Transportation is provided at satellite locations. • Registration forms are available through the Counseling Office at your student's school.

Night School Calendar 2018-19 Semester 1 Semester 2 Registration: Jan. 7 - Jan. 18 (Last Day to Submit Form To Your School Counselor is Jan. 18) On-Site (Late) Registration: Jan. 23, 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm  School Calendar: Jan. 28, 2019 – May 23, 2019 (We Follow The PWCS School Calendar Regarding Holidays and   Closings) Registration: Aug. 20 – Sept. 7 (Last Day to Submit Form To Your School Counselor is Sept. 7) On-Site (Late) Registration: Sept. 12, 4:30-6:30 pm School Calendar: Sept. 17, 2018 - Jan. 23, 2019 (We Follow The PWCS School Calendar Regarding Holidays and   Closings)
