  3. <conceptual basis> • A statement or description of the <NSDI topic> purpose and/or role. --by whom (if applicable) url (if applicable)

  5. <component overview> • A listing of the <NSDI Topic> key components and a description or graphic as to how the components relate.

  6. <individual component descriptions> • Explanation of each of the <NSDI Topic> key components and its: • role • values/character • contribution

  7. <Summary> • Reinforcement of the key components and the specific way in which they support the NSDI.

  8. <Format: bulleted items> • When using bullets: • Capitalize the first letter of the bullet • do not capitalize the first letter of secondary bullets • Do not use periods or commas between bulleted items • Keep the text simple; provide details in the Notes field • Be consistent: • start each bullet with either a noun, verb, or adjective • apply the same tense when using verbs
