Update informasi pelamar NTT • Dari 299 pemenang beasiswa Australian Partnership Scholarship (APS) 2005, NTT hanya memberikan 1 orang calon. • Dari 70 orang pemenang chevening 2002, hanya 1 orang pemenang asal NTT • Dari 70 orang pemenang chevening 2003, hanya 1 orang pemenang asal NTT • Dari 70 orang pemenang chevening 2004, hanya 1 orang pemenang “asal NTT” Forum Academia NTT

This should be summarised in your cover letter, CV, reference, short essay (when required), and interview • Your CV Must contain • Depths and breadths of content • Your skill sets and capabilities • Your experiences • Your achievement so far  Be honest in your CV! TIPS & Strategi Melamar (DEL) • Pentingnya penggunaan/pemanfaatan internet untuk memburu beasiswa, • selalu up date dengan informasi terbaru. • skill untuk searching • subscribe di milist beasiswa (milist ini perlu disinggung khusus), atau kalau diperlukan juga di forum academia. • Kemampuan Berbahasa Inggris. • Kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan bukan menghafal. Biasanya pemberi beasiswa menghargai orang yang memiliki inovasi, dan bukan bertipe pengikut. Ini penting karena biasanya saat diawancarai, dan saat menuliskan essay motivasi, kita dinilai berdasarkan kemampuan menghasilkan sesuatu yang orisinil Forum Academia NTT

TIPS & Strategi Melamar (LB) • Apply ke beberapa  scholarship sekaligus (jadi ada beberapa pilihan , misalkan kalo yg lain gagal mungkin masih ada kesempatan di temapt lain) • jangan pernah menyerah, keep persistant, sekali gagal coba lagi dengan bercermin pada kegagalan sebelumnya. Kira2 hal apa yg menyebabkan gagal dan perbaiki sehingga biss lebih bagus lagi. • Menyangkut persyaratan bahasa: jangan segan2 untuk investasi kursus bahasa inggris baik itu TOEFEL, IELTS or  academic writing cos biasanya teman2 nnt kendalanya di bahasa walaupun dari segi prestasi seng ada lawan (makan seng mati, seng makan ju mati). • Flexible dengan pilihan study. Misalkan pengen focus ke komuminkasi n development  tp beasiwa yg ditawarkan pure development. jangan mundur apply saja karena besar kemungkinan mata kuliah pilhan bisa ambil komunikasi. • Konsultasi dengan teman yg sukses mendapatkan beasiswa karena sangat membantu. TIPS & Strategi Melamar (DW) • You need to be confident (and honest) in your interview • You should be able to show the benefit to you, your institution, NTT, society, and Indonesia by having the scholarship • You should be able to show that you are able to ‘perform’ in your education (finish on time with sufficient passing grade) • You need to satisfy the funder that there should be no major impedance from you, your family, or your specific circumstances to do your education.   8. Strategic Targeting (DW) • Some scholarships are ‘general’, some target different awardees. Apply to those which give more chance to you in your specific circumstances • Some scholarships give more weight to applicants from Eastern Indonesia, NGO activists, Government Employees, women, Teacher, etc • If you are confident enough in your specific (research) area, apply directly to the scholarship provided by the universities (e.g. www.jobs.ac.uk) Forum Academia NTT
