  6. Body Types-Ectomorph • Characterized by a low percentage of body fat • Small bone size and a small amount of muscle mass and size. • Exhibit a lean appearance, often with long, slender arms and legs.

  7. Body Types-Mesomorph • Characterized by a low-to-medium percentage of body fat • Medium-to large bone size and large amount of muscle mass and size. • They appear muscular and well proportioned.

  8. Body-Endomorph • Characterized by a high percentage of body fat • Large bone size a small amount of muscle mass and size. • They generally have a round face, short neck, and wide hips.

How do you improve self esteem? • Instead of saying “I can’t do this” or “ I don’t know anything about this”, read, learn from others—do whatever you can to develop your talents and skills. • Instead of focusing on your failures, acknowledge and celebrate your achievements and successes! • Instead of saying “Oh, its nothing really’, accept another’s compliments—say “Thank you!” and enjoy praise without embarrassment. • Instead of blaming others, take responsibility for being happy, achieving your goals, enjoying your life. • Instead of focusing on your faults, think positive thoughts and feelings that build your confidence and make you feel good, competent and self-sufficient. • Instead of being critical to yourself and others, look for something likeable in yourself and in everyone you know and meet. • Instead of trying to change others, focus on being the person you want to be.

  21. Application to be a Parent 1. One parent must be between the age of 23 and 55 years of age. 2. Both couples and single persons can apply for adoption. Divorces are okay. 3. Must be in good general health and have a normal life expectancy. 4. Must not have had an unfavorable recommendation for adoption in a prior home study. 5. Must not have been convicted of a crime against a person or family, or public indecency, and must not have been convicted of a felony relating to any controlled substance abuse in any state in the United States. 6. Must provide information necessary to conduct an abuse/neglect registry check and the results must show no history of abuse/neglect. 7. Must be able to show financial responsibility to care for the adopted child or children you wish to adopt. (125% above Federal poverty guidelines) 8. Must live in a single family residence such as a house, apartment, or condo.
